About Heidi
No stranger to African soil, Heidi Helm was born and raised in Namibia and moved to Cape Town, South Africa, in 1996 where she resides till this day. She also studied in Cape Town while still living in Namibia. She has traveled the southern part of the African continent throughout her whole life whether it be for work or leisure. Add to that her 30+ years of working in the tourism industry and you get a travel specialist with a wealth of knowledge, experience, and most of all passion!
Her working career started at an airline in Namibia, thereafter she owned her own business in the motor vehicle industry for 15 years, which also entailed car hire, before moving to Cape Town where she has been working in senior management for a larger tour operator for 15 years. In 2012 she decided it was time to start her own business and Access Southern Africa was born. With a lot of hard work, endless dedication, professionalism and passion she has managed to grow the business year after year! Not being able to cope with the work load eventually, her children got involved and so the company turned into a family business. She is a well know personality in the tourism industry, locally and abroad. She has proven her professionalism and expertise to many in the industry. The trust that she received over the many years, she still enjoys today. Putting all these aspects together she is the perfect partner to look after your needs in the tourism industry, regionally in Southern Africa and Internationally.
